How is Massage Different from the Delos Treatment?
October 4, 2012   |   By Delos Therapy Team

The difference between massage and the Delos Treatment is like the difference between driving your car through a car wash and having it detailed. In general, though it can feel good and does have general health benefits, massage is just that- GENERAL.

Another difference between massage and Delos Therapy is that massage, including deep tissue massage, is relatively superficial and doesn’t effectively stretch apart the individual muscle fibers to restore pliability. A Delos Therapy treatment on the other hand is a highly focused and results oriented pressing technique. Delos Therapists press on countless carefully selected points at a carefully selected angle. The points and angles are chosen based on a very specialized knowledge of which muscles and groups of muscles are related to a patient’s problem. In addition, therapists have knowledge of macro ‘strain patterns’ in the body. These patterns help therapists select points on other muscles that add additional pull and strain from a distance on a patient’s problem area. Finally, and most importantly, the Delos treatment is fully focused on getting results so you get the relief and improvement you are seeking.
