Delos Therapy has some amazing clients with extraordinary stories and we want to take the time to share their success with our therapy. Meet Mark Silich, a business owner, who came to us with plantar fasciitis. Read his interview to find out his amazing transformation since starting Delos.
How did you hear about Delos Therapy?
MS: My girlfriend’s boss had told me about Delos Therapy over dinner when I had mentioned I was having trouble with my foot. He said that he was walking on a cane and Delos straightened him out. So when my injury happened and I started hobbling around, I knew I couldn’t resolve it on my own and figured I’d give Delos a shot.
What issues brought you to Delos Therapy?
MS: I stand and move around a lot for my work. There’s a lot to be done running my own business and I started to feel pain in the bottom of my foot that just wouldn’t go away. I was at a trade show. It’s incredible how many people I know have dealt with foot pain. I heard horror stories, including people who had bone spurs, wore boots and straps that held their foot back at night, and I was worried. People said it took a year or 6-8 months to resolve.
What did you try before Delos Therapy?
MS: I wore a tight ankle support brace to try to get the arch of my foot to lift up. It didn’t seem to do anything and made the pain even worse. I tried hot towels and ice during the two weeks that I was pondering the idea of coming to Delos.
What were you expecting when you came in?
MS: I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially because it was an unexpected injury. I came in expecting the worst, but I was hopeful, and was very excited to see the results. People learn a lot too when they come in. I sat and watched the informational videos in the lobby and asked the therapists questions.
What improvements have you made since starting Delos Therapy?
MS: I went from limping around to being able to walk and improve in my weekly workout routine in a matter of a month. It definitely didn’t take as long as I thought, probably because I was able to get therapy consistently, and everything just started working together.
What would you say to someone who hasn’t tried Delos Therapy?
MS: The bottom line is that I was skeptical too. I had been getting massage therapy for a while prior to Delos thinking that it was good for the body, mind and soul. For an injury, this therapy is amazing. It’s also nice to go somewhere where I could have the concentrated focus on the area in need.
Tell us something unique about you.
MS: I’d say I’m healthier now than I was in my 40s! I run my own business because I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and work for myself. I like leading people. It’s my passion and it’s what I do best.
